COsplaY contest
The Cosplay/Costume Contest is a craftsmanship award show that lets each contestant showcase their hard work, imagination, dedication, and favorite serial killer inspired costume while competing for some amazing prizes.
Everyone is encouraged to dress up as your favorite slasher, zombie, killer or victim as well as just stop by and take some photos and enjoy all the incredible costumes and people that will be there!
Awards including cash will be given to the top 3 Adult contestants.
Top 3 Kids winners will receive prize packs.

Kids Cosplay/Costume Contest will be open to all kids 12 and under to show off thier favorite costume and participate in a fun kids only event. This is always a highlight of the event for kids as they get to be the focal point of their own event.
Top 3 winners will get prize packages!

Check in for contest will be on site at Mandie Strange FX's Booth by 3pm on Saturday
Must check in to get a number for Line Up
Line up for Contest will be Promptly at 4:30 for Adults
Rules and Regulations:
Contestants will be judged on a variety of criteria, including originality, craftsmanship, design and performance.
All rules and guidelines set by the convention still apply during the contest.
- No nudity. This is a family event. Costumes depicting anything not suitable for a general audience are not allowed to enter the contest.
- No profanity allowed on stage and that includes messages on signs or clothes. Anyone who violates will be disqualified from the competition. Let’s keep it family friendly.
- No political or religious statement allowed during the presentation. Anyone who violates this will be disqualified from the competition and possibly asked to leave the convention.
- No pyrotechnics, explosive devices, or similar special effects are to be used. Anyone who violates this rule may be disqualified from the competition and may be asked to leave the convention.
- All prop weapons must be preapproved by Silver Scream Staff and adhere to a general convention guidline as follows:
- Do not use any sort of projectile at all, nothing must leave your person– including water pistols, silly-string guns, and ping-pong pistols. Live steel weapons can only be drawn or unsheathed for the stage performance or for photos taken in the designated areas. Any weapon used in an offensive manner will be confiscated and you will be removed from the convention. Anyone who violates this rule may be disqualified from the competition and may be asked to leave the convention area. We expect you to use good judgment to keep everyone safe; with your help, we can have a fun and safe time.
- Presentations on the stage should be limited to no longer than 1 minute for individuals and 2 minutes for groups. If more time is needed, see the judges before the contest starts for scheduling.

- 1st Place: $300 Cash
- 2nd Place: $200 Cash
- 3rd Place: $100 Cash
